Pet of the Week

Koda

Gender: Female
Age: Adult, 3 years old
Description: Great Dane, white with black freckles
Health: Spayed & vaccinated; born blind & deaf

Koda is a very special girl. She is many things: female, 3 years old, spayed, vaccinated, loving, gentle, happy. There’s a lot of good things about Koda, but our biggest worry for Koda right now is that she’s homeless. Koda is in desperate need of a family to take her on as she is– the wonderful dog that she’s always been.

Koda was born blind and deaf but she can navigate her surroundings easily even though she cannot see or hear well. She uses her nose to find her way around, including up and down stairs. Koda likes to play with toys by flinging them up in the air (but not to catch them!).

Koda loves people and other dogs. She is happiest when she’s snuggled up next to a human, another dog, or both! She has lived with cats and doesn’t mind them. Koda has so much love to give and deserves a chance to live a long, love-filled life.

While Koda is absolutely available for adoption at any time, we are not only looking for a permanent placement for our girl. If someone was courageous to step up and be that loving family for Koda, we would continue to support her as a foster, even providing medical care and behavior training when needed. Please contact our office by calling 315-207-1070 or emailing info@oswegohumane.org if you think you can provide wonderful, safe place for Koda.
